Stephanie Hahlen was born in Hong Kong and immigrated to Vancouver with her family when she was the age of 2. Growing up in Vancouver, she ultimately lived the West Coast lifestyle from tubing and snowboarding during the Winter months to hiking and kayaking in the Summer. Whether it was drinking a warm cup of tea with a book on a rainy day or exploring a new coffee shop before heading to the beach, this lifestyle propelled her to be on social media. Before she knew it, she was inspired in more ways than one and began her creative profile via Instagram.
In June of 2016, Stephanie graduated Capilano University (CapU) with a BBA and a Specialized Marketing Diploma and proceeded to work for Lloyd-James Plant-Based Sales & Marketing, Canada's first plant-based brokerage. There, she further developed her skills in corporate relations, brand management, key account projections, and marketing initiatives including developing a social media strategy. With a passion for creative and during her time at Lloyd-James, she connected with Social T, a boutique style social media agency and began contracting her time to photography, creating and scheduling content and offering insights based on analytics for Social T clients.
The excitement for market research came during her time at CapU. There, she was the VP of Marketing at CapU's Marketing Association. She also competed in 3 case studies winning first place and honourable mention in BCIT's Case Competition and The American Marketing Association Case Competition, respectively. Through weeks and months of extensive research during each case study, she found the findings of each case study and data research rewarding and thus, fueled the marketing fire.
